Hamilton will be back on Water Alert Level 2 from Friday 6 March.

Car washing, hosing and pool top-ups will be banned in Te Awamutu, Pirongia, and Ōhaupō as of Wednesday 12 February.

Hamilton City Council has moved to Water Alert Level 3 from Thursday 6 February, in response to record water-use in past weeks.

Dry conditions and increased demand have forced Council to move to Alert 3 this Friday, only 11 days since water alert level 1 was put in place.

Water restrictions have started in Waipā with Te Awamutu, Pirongia, Kaipaki, Ohaupo and surrounds moving to Alert Level 1 on 20 January.
